I'm up all day and night,
Recalling that amazing sight...
That crystalline delight
Christel--what a sight!
In impostrous dimness of light,
In darkness and in fright,
I feed my apatite
As I quickly start to write
Of that crystalline delight
Of that wondrous, wondrous sight
Which alone doth embright
My room, quickly spreading light,
Quickly ending all my fright...
What a crystalline delight!
And my Christel--what a sight!
'Tis crystal clear tonight
My lack of fear is brought to light
Through her dear beauty alone: what a sight!
